Our Policy

We will not disclose any of the information you provide to us to any outside party, unless the law either requires or authorizes us to do so.  We will protect your personal information with appropriate security measures and will require our suppliers, advertising agencies and communications firms to do the same.  Rest assured that no personal information will be gathered by DLR without your consent.

Information Gathered Through the Website

In the "Give" or "Donate now' sections of our website, we ask for your name, e-mail address, mailing address and telephone number, as well as the amount of your donation and your credit card information (type, number and expiry date).  You are also asked if you consent to having your name included in our Donors Circle and if you wish to make monthly donations. This information is needed to be able to process your credit card donation.  The details entered on this form are securely transmitted. You will always be expressly informed in advance that the data you are providing will be processed, i.e. it will undergo a series of operations relating to the collection, recording, development, modification, storage and destruction of such personal information.

It is important to specify at this point that your personal information will never, under any circumstances, be disclosed to any of DLR's partners without your consent. Only authorized DLR employees will be allowed access to this information. Should we ever need to ask you for any information for any other reason, you would be automatically and expressly notified that this is the case at the time the request is made.

When you log on to DLR's website, our server automatically registers the domain name of your Internet provider as well as basic information on the operating system and browser you are using, as supplied by your computer. This information is used for statistical purposes and is intended solely to help us manage our site; it can in no way be used to identify you personally.

Use of Your Personal Information

Both we and our suppliers have implemented security measures to protect the user information under our control against loss, improper use or alteration. Only authorized individuals who need this data for the purposes described in the present Privacy Policy will have access to the information you have chosen to submit to us.  DLR has imposed strict rules on those employees who have access to databases that store user information and to our hosting servers. Although we cannot guarantee that no loss, improper use or alteration of the information will occur, we will make every effort to prevent incidents of this nature from taking place. Any other particularly sensitive information, such as credit card information used during on-line transactions, is encrypted before transmission.  DLR cannot be held responsible for any use or disclosure of your personal information that is beyond our reasonable control.

Personal information gathered by DLR is not sold, exchanged or transferred to any third parties. DLR reserves the right to contact a donor with respect to donations paid by credit card and with respect to the information required to properly process such a donation.
